  hi everyone- i don't have much of an update on my current situation ( refer to previous posts ) august 1st has past, (the day the judicial committee was supposedly held against me- and that i didn't attend, no word on anything as of now, thankfully i am moving to a new home next week which means no more elders sending me spooky jc invite mail!

  anyways, i'm getting off the main reason why i'm posting.. so i have tendency to drift off into thought and have discussions with myself, ( i'm not crazy i swear!

  ) i was thinking today, have we heard any more updates on appearances?

  some posters are super friendly and personable and others just state their business and do not interact.

  i understand human nature and cannot be friends with everyone.

  when jehovah brings armageddon, will he let me live long enough to witness the deaths of my children and grand children because they didn't believe in him?

  since i've faded and i don't promote worshiping him anymore, i am just wondering.. at least i'd know for sure what kind of god he is?.

  this is my current bottom-line conclusion after starting to see through the jw game 3 to 4 years ago and going through my own process of waking up.

  it helps to write it down and put it "out there".

  i hope it helps or resonates with you in your own personal process.. basically if i were given 10 seconds to say something to an active jehovah's witness that i cared about it would be the headline above.

  Because of the death of Jesus in our stead, man is put in the same position he was at the beginning - destiny determined by belief, not by how many rules you follow.

  Ahhh, Perry - Adam and Eve sinned because they failed to follow a rule. Don't eat from that tree! That's about as much a rule as a rule can get.

  my husband's gone to his meeting and i'm catching up with folks here on our forum.

  i'm sure i'm having a better time :) anyway, was just following some posts regarding the un and there happened to be a copy of a magazine article stating brothers wouldn't want to be joining the "y" because it was "christian".

  i think this was back in the 1950's (maybe not).

  Even if the YMCA no longer considers themselves a purely Christian organization the Watchtower will despise them anyways simply for having the word Christian as part of its title.

  Saename, It's not the first time they made that claim. I remember them making it decades ago. I forget the Watchtower where the claim was made but it used the phrase "sole channel of communication"

  the chapter in the "imitate their faith" book praised her for being "industrious".. the conductor at our congregation meeting was just positively gushing about how "industrious" modern-day jw women are.. he was so exciting, he could barely get the words out.

  I see that the inside of the ark in the gift shop does not have two stories. No smelly animals either. You need smelly animals for ambience.
